There are some museums across America that make it possible for rail fans to operate diesel locomotives on a closed track assisted by qualified engineers. They are very popular and profitable attractions.

We are acquiring diesel locomotives for our Engineering Program. They will be cosmetically and mechanically restored and available to members to operate by the hour. Many of them will be Western Maryland locomotives. Some will be models that Western Maryland owned but examples of which no longer exist. A few will be rare models that were never owned or operated by Western Maryland.

Watch this page for updates and news of acquisitions. And remember, Charter Life Members of Western Maryland Survivors are entitled to operate one of these vintage locomotives for one hour per year for life. That's right...
